Healthy diet, healthy mindΒ π§ Β March is National Nutrition Month π
I think we're all guilty of slacking on our food every now and again (even if we made a new year's resolution to be better). And, realistically, we're not always going to make the right choices. And what even is the 'right' food anyway? Everything has its place in a healthy lifestyle, but some things just need to be prioritised more than others.
This doesn't mean there are 'good' or 'bad' foods - just foods you should eat more of and foods you should eat less of. It's best to try and have two fist fulls of fruit or vegetables with every meal. If you can, try to eat a range of colours, too. As well as this, try to limit your consumption of processed foods. Eating natural is a sure-fire way to keep your health in check from boosting your immune system to maintaining good skin health. If you believe yourself to be deficient in a particular area, then try supplementing. For example, in our little pocket of the world, we are unfortunately subjected to very little sunlight, and this means that many of us can be deficient in Vitamin D. By using a Vitamin D supplement, we can help to combat this and make sure that our bones stay strong and our brain stays healthy. I recommend checking out Better You as their sprays are absorbed more easily by the body. Β Lastly, snack wisely. We can all get a little peckish between meals - and that's perfectly OK.

However, if you're constantly reaching for crisps, sweets or chocolates, then this can really add up to some negative effects over time. Instead, try chopped vegetables and salsa or fruit high in nutrients such as berries. Even having coffee's with less milk can really make a big difference.
