How to Better Your Blood
Don't worry if you're squeamish, I won't be sharing any images of actual blood, but just because you can't see it day to day (or hopefully you can't!) doesn't mean that it should be ignored.
Your blood carries nutrients and oxygen around and around your body to all of the places that need it most, keeping them in proper function, and most importantly, keeping you alive.
As well as this, your blood will carry waste products, such as carbon dioxide, away from cells and to the proper place for them to be dealt with. What we eat plays a big part in how we feel and how our body acts day to day.
Certain foods can make us feel better and others can make us feel a lot worse. Particular foods can also improve particular parts of our body, such as our blood.
One such food is garlic. Garlic is one of those foods that crops up for almost all health conditions because it's packed full of a variety of nutrients. Raw garlic, in particular, is very useful for keeping your body free of bacteria and heavy metals whilst lowering your blood pressure.
Leafy greens are another good choice which are once again packed full of nutrients that can help to detoxify your blood and protect against free radicals as well as reducing inflammation. Leafy greens are also a good source of iron which help to formulate hemoglobin which in turn aids in the delivery of oxygen to cells throughout the body.
Other blood-healthy foods:
- Apple Cider Vinegar
By including a strong portion of at least one of these foods every day, you'll help to keep your blood and body protected and in good health. If you'd like some more help with making 2020 your happiest, healthiest year, then send me a message.
I hope you have a great week!
