And we're not drinking enough drops.
Â
Our bodies are around 60% water, meaning that we're more water than not. Kind of makes you feel a bit more sympathetic toward jellyfish, doesn't it?Â
Â
Most of us to drink frequently enough, but don't drink the right stuff. Coffee, fizzy drinks, and juice may count as a liquid, but it's not as nutritious or hydrating as good quality water.
Â
Some of the biggest benefits of water include:
And that's an important note: not all water is created equally.Â
Â
If you've ever had bottled water, you can probably taste the difference between tap water. That's because tap water is less filtered than bottled water, and depending on the area, can contain different levels of vitamins, minerals and most importantly, bad chemicals that can negatively affect our health.Â
Â
A lot of filters will do a good job of taking out the bad stuff, but they also take out the good stuff meaning that the water you end up with is pretty neutral. Instead you want to take out the bad stuff and leave in the vitamins and minerals. Therefore, it's not only important to get a filter, but to research the filters to make sure they're doing the right job.
One of the tips I have for improving your water consumption is to drink a glass of water with and between every meal. By sticking to this schedule, you can make sure to be hydrated by the end of the day.Â
Â
Another tip is to keep a full bottle by your side at all times, and as soon as it's empty, go and fill it up at the next available opportunity. By simply keeping the water by you, you're more likely to drink it. It's similar to how if you keep a bowl of snacks by your side, you're more likely to eat them.Â
Â
As well as this, if you're going to drink a lot of alcohol, try to drink a glass of water in between each drink. Not only does this help you to pace yourself, you also make sure to stay hydrated which also can stave of hangovers.Â
Â
Anyway, that's all from me for this week!
