Did you know that most people wait to tackle their health goals until the new year? While it may sound like a challenge to start implementing steps to achieve your health goals now, it will do you a ton of good! You will be way ahead of the game come news years which means you will be more likely to achieve your goals during the year. Start making small adjustments to your diet and exercise routine to be ahead of the game.
For this week’s challenge, I challenge you to do at least two of these healthy eating tips during the holiday tips
  • Skip the sugary holiday-inspired drinks and choose herbal tea instead
  • Instead of using wheat flour in your holiday baking, try using almond or coconut flour
  • Exercise 3-4 times per week
  • Find time to relax even during the chaos the holidays bring
  • Stay hydrated. Thirst is often mistaken for hunger so staying hydrated can help prevent you from overdoing the sugar
  • Host the holiday party this year and plan delicious, healthy meals

Stay Hydrated
It’s so easy to become dehydrated and get confused in thinking we are hungry when in fact we are thirsty.  Keep hydrating by drinking regularly. At this time of year it can be difficult to get cold water down, so try different herbal teas and even simple warm water with a slice of lemon.

Host the Dinner Party
Instead of going to friends/family for dinner this holiday season, host your own party! This will allow you to decide which foods you serve and you can choose cleaner and healthier options that everyone will love.

Skip the Alcohol
Instead of drinking those holiday-inspired cocktails this holiday season, try making a homemade eggnog with coconut cream instead.
